Tadaland Meets MyTOWN
Tadaland is thrilled to announce a collaboration with MyTOWN Shopping Centre—a vibrant shopping and lifestyle destination in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
How it started
The idea for this collaboration first took shape at the Hong Kong International Licensing Show (HKILS), organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), where Tadaland and MyTOWN discovered a shared vision: to combine innovative storytelling with meaningful retail experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. Within months, the Tadaland x MyTOWN partnership was born, bringing a year-long series of events that transforms MyTOWN into an immersive playground where shoppers can learn about themselves and others.
The Tadaland team first met Chris Koh, Deputy General Manager of MyTOWN, in 2023 at the Hong Kong International Licensing Show, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Chris visited Tadaland’s booth, where they exchanged the visions and missions of both companies.

Drawing over 27 million visitors annually, MyTOWN combines shopping, dining, and leisure, providing the perfect stage to showcase Tadaland’s unique, character-driven experiences.

Tadamates, each representing a unique personality type, bring a layer of social connection and self-discovery to this collaboration. Whether it’s an extroverted character sparking interactions or an introspective one encouraging self-reflection, the Tadamates have crafted an environment where every visitor can see a bit of themselves and feel connected, transforming MyTOWN into a space for personal exploration and social engagement.
How it’s going
This exciting collaboration begins with a vibrant Christmas celebration, setting the stage for a year-long series of exciting events at MyTOWN. Tadamates will be central to MyTOWN’s festive decor, creating a magical atmosphere for families and children to enjoy. Following Christmas, the characters will take on new roles to celebrate the Lunar New Year and other festivals, spreading joy and creating fun with interactive zones, festive activities, and unique photo opportunities that embody the spirit of each season.
